BaanTower Rotterdam

In the coming years, a new timeless icon will rise in the Baankwartier: The BaanTower. This striking 159-meter-tall residential tower will be one of Rotterdam’s most sustainable apartment buildings. Fundex is drilling steel foundation piles for the high-rise. The piles are being installed in two sections: the first section is 27 meters deep, and then a 30-meter section is placed on top of it, with drilling continuing to a depth of at least 61 meters. As is often the case with this type of foundation project, the challenge lies in working in a confined space.
