Fundex Materieel Dienst
Fundex Material Service (FMD).

Fundex Equipment Service - responsible for the Fundex machinery fleet - is equipped with a modern fleet, including Fundex F3500 and F4800(E) machines equipped with (partly) Stage V low-emission engines or even fully electrically powered.
The entire machinery runs on GTL (gas to liquid) fuel, reducing local emissions of particulate matter, nitrogen and sulfur oxides.
Where electrification is possible, it will be done. For example, all grout injection pumps (now diesel powered), will be replaced with electric units.
Each machine is equipped with a data recording system. With this, all drilling parameters are recorded for each pile and then sent to the office. Here the data is further processed, analyzed and presented to the customer in graph form.
The engineering department at FMD provides improvement/renewal of the current machines and also (further) development of machine and drilling techniques.
Finally, FMD has an experienced technical service department, consisting of mechanics and welders, which can provide support, where necessary, and can turn out immediately in the event of an emergency. Several fully equipped service/welding vans are available for this purpose.

The new FUNDEX CD20E
An emission-free electric-powered compact foundation machine.
Compact foundation machine for placing different types of piles in various situations.
The CD20E offers several advantages, some of which are:
Reduced emissions
The electric-powered CD20E produces no direct emissions, resulting in a lower environmental impact compared to diesel-powered counterparts. This is particularly important in areas with strict emissions regulations or within projects where environmental friendliness is a priority.
Reduced noise level
Quieter operation: The CD20E is quieter than their diesel counterparts. This can be beneficial in densely populated urban areas or (nature) sensitive environments where noise pollution is a major concern.
Flexibility and Versatility
Variable Speed Control: Electric motors offer better control over speed and torque, allowing for more precise and xible machining. This is particularly useful in applications where variable drilling speeds are required.
Emission Standards:
Meeting Emission Standards: As environmental regulations become more stringent, the CD20E offers a great alternative for meeting them, especially in areas where stringent emission standards apply or where those of diesel-powered equipment are limited.
By developing and deploying electrically driven foundation machines within our projects, Fundex is happy to put together with its
clients and partners the foundation for a sustainable future.

Fundex F4800E
Toward a cleaner construction site
Nexus is a sustainable lifescience building with offices and laboratories for scale-ups that Dura Vermeer is building at the Bio Science Park in Leiden. Nexus aims to achieve BREEAM Excellent certification, an international standard for classifying buildings on sustainability and energy efficiency. Both in the design and construction phases, ecological, social and economic sustainability performance is taken into account to create a working environment for companies that want to reduce their environmental impact, just like Fundex.
A first successful trial was conducted with the Fundex F4800E in Leiden. Fundex worked here together with Greener and Dura Vermeer Bouw Zuid. The foundation work was performed by a zero emission drilling rig. The F4800E was equipped with a vibration-free drill which took into account the immediate neighbors.
Fundex has been working on the sustainability of its light and heavy foundation machines for some time and we see in the last few years, that we really get orders for this. The cooperation with the customer, but also the suppliers of batteries, software and the specific knowledge of electrifying and connecting is a must. Less noise means less nuisance in an inner-city area and results in a completely different experience of construction work in the living environment. We are on the right path in the foundation industry and will certainly be ready to meet the 2030, 2040 and 2050 ESG guidelines! On to a cleaner construction site!"
