Fundex® Combipaal with Grout Injection
Vibration-free, cast-in-place, soil-displacing concrete pile with a precast concrete element, driven to depth using a steel guide tube and with grout injection.
pile dimensions:
Standard dimensions are:
| Shaft diameter [mm]: | e drill bit [mm]: |
| ø 380 (max. 220 x 220 mm) | ø 450 |
| ø 460 (max. 250 x 250 mm) | ø 560 |
| ø 550 (max. 320 x 320 mm) | ø 660 |
| ø 610 (max. 350 x 350 mm) | ø 740 |
| ø 660 (max. 380 x 380 mm) | ø 850 |
| ø 750 (max. 500 x 500 mm) | ø 950 |
A grout sleeve with the same diameter as the drill bit will be installed in the sand layers.
pile length:
Depending on the pile dimensions and pile tip, the pile length can pile varied. The pile head can also be placed below working level.
Reinforcement:
The piles equipped with precast concrete piles. For quality reasons, they are reinforced along their entire length as standard.
Concrete:
All strength classes can be used here. Concrete minimum C45/55
Soil mechanical bearing capacity:
NL: The bearing capacity is calculated in accordance with current NEN and CUR standards.
The following factors can be applied:
αp = 0.63
β = 1.0
s = 1.0
αs = 0.009
αt = 0.009
B: For questions regarding load capacity, please contact our office.
Procedure:
- A steel guide pipe, fitted with a detachable drill bit, is placed at ground level;
- The pipe is driven to the desired depth by applying axial pressure and torque while injecting grout;
- Once the desired pile tip elevation is reached, the precast element is placed inside the pipe
- The pipe is filled with grout;
- The pipe is pulled in an oscillating motion, with the drill bit remaining in place;
- The pile now been manufactured;
- The rig be moved to the next pile location.
Advantages:
- Vibration-free and 100% soil displacement (no soil relaxation or cone resistance decline);
- No risk of damage to adjacent properties during pile construction;
- A high load capacity is permissible;
- Ideal for use as a compression or tension post;
- For installation in very heavy soil conditions;
- No noise pollution, unlike with pile driving or vibration. The only noise is the drill motor;
- No soil discharge. Soil is pushed out to the side.
- Install at a deeper depth (if necessary, from a pontoon) so that there is no excess length of the concrete column above the cut-off level.
Applicable foundation:
Fundex combination piles with grout injection can be used effectively in very heavy soil layers as well as in very soft soil layers. Thanks to the use of a prefab pile core, there is no risk of a discontinuous pile shaft.
Pile spacing:
Due to the need to center the core, additional measures will need to be taken for piles large bracing spans.
Workspace:
Sufficient headroom and space pile required for the installation of the Fundex pile .
Adjacent structures:
The piles be installed at a distance of approximately 0.9 m perpendicular to the adjacent structure. At recessed corners, this distance is naturally greater.
Executable rigs:
Fundex F12SE, F15, F2800, F3500, and F4800.
rigs dimensions:
Depending on rig type. Most common:
Setup area approximately 7 x 12 m. rig height rig 48 m.
Assembled weight variable from approximately 63 to 210 tons.
