MIDAS is a project commissioned by Dr. Kolb in Moerdijk/Klundert and stands for “Moerdijk Integrated and Designated Alkoxylation System.”

Midas consists of the following projects:

• The construction of a new reactor, including a heat recovery system, control zone, chemical storage, and cooling water facilities.
• A logistics project involving the expansion of the tank farm, a loading/unloading station, and a rerouting of the supply chain for materials.
• Expansion of support services such as electrical power supply, nitrogen, fire protection systems, office buildings, and parking facilities.

In partnership with Van der Zande Construction (general contractor), foundation specialist Fundex has begun work. Approximately 75 Fundex piles and 5 Tubex piles, each 22 meters long, will need to be installed. These will be distributed across 4–5 locations at the factory. Due to the high standards at the factory, these piles must be installed piles and using ground displacement methods.
