Funderingstechnieken Verstraeten piles the piles for the tallest municipal office building in the Netherlands
Last year, Funderingstechnieken Verstraeten BV piles the piles for the Utrecht City Hall. The Utrecht City Hall covers 66,000 m² and is one of the largest buildings under construction in the Netherlands since mid-2011. For Utrecht residents, the City Hall will serve as the central hub where they can access nearly all municipal services and products. With a maximum height of 92 meters, it will soon be the tallest and one of the largest city halls in the Netherlands.
The piles installed on behalf of the SKU Construction Consortium, a partnership between VolkerWessels companies Boele & van Eesteren and G&S Bouw.
A total of the following were installed:
- 296 Fundex piles grout injection, 540/670 mm;
- 12 Tubex piles grout injection and limited working height, 457/670 mm;
- 51 Tubex piles grout injection, 720/950 mm
