Tubex® pile

Vibration-free, soil-displacing concrete pile with a permanent steel tube, driven to depth.

Specifications

pile dimensions:
Standard dimensions are:

Tube diameter
[mm]:
Recommended drill bit [
] Drill bit diameter [mm]:
168 or 219 mm ø 310
324 or 355 ø 450
355 or 406 mm ø 560
ø 457 or 508 ø 670
ø 609 ø 850
ø 762 ø 950

pile length:
In principle, unlimited. The maximum length is generally around 30 m. The pile head can be installed either at ground level or below ground level.

Reinforcement:
The piles fitted with prefabricated reinforcement cages. Depending on the requirements, they are reinforced at the top or along their entire length.

Concrete:
The piles cast in concrete directly at the plant. All strength classes can be used for this purpose.

Soil mechanical bearing capacity:
NL: The bearing capacity is calculated in accordance with current EC, NEN, and CUR standards.
B: The bearing capacity is calculated in accordance with current EC, NBN, and CUR standards.

Procedure:

  • A steel pipe, fitted with a welded steel drill bit, is placed at ground level;
  • The pipe is driven to the desired depth by applying axial pressure and torque;
  • Once the desired pile tip elevation has been reached, the pile is pile ;
  • The rig be moved to the next pile location; At a later stage, the steel pipe will be cut to the exact height;
  • The reinforcement is installed inside the pipe;
  • The pipe is filled with concrete;
  • The pile now pile manufactured.

Advantages:

  • Vibration-free and 100% soil-displacing (no soil loosening or reduction in cone resistance);
  • No risk of damage to adjacent properties during pile construction;
  • Ideal for absorbing large compressive and tensile forces and moments, and for limiting deformation;
  • No noise pollution, unlike with pile driving or vibration. The only noise is the drill motor;
  • No soil removal. Soil is pushed aside;
  • Well suited for use in very soft soil layers. This prevents deformation of the pile shaft;
  • Suitable for use as a temporary foundation pile;
  • Suitable for use in areas with limited headroom or space.

Suitable soil conditions:
Tubex piles well-suited for use in soils with a strength of approximately 1 to 20 MPa. This system is a viable option in areas with very soft soil layers. If the soil layers are very heavy, a system using grout injection—such as the Fundex GI pile the Tubex GI pile—may be a better choice.

Drilling angles:
Up to 4:1 forward and 1:1 backward. It is also possible to drill at an angle of up to 3:1 to the side.

Website:
The tubex pile used in both open and confined spaces.

Adjacent structures:
Depending on the rig, the piles can be piles at a distance of approximately 0.5 to 0.9 m perpendicular to the adjacent structure. At recessed corners, this distance is naturally greater.

Available rigs:
Fundex F10, F12S, F12SE, F15, F16, F2800, F3500.
All Tubex rigs.

rigs dimensions:
Depending on the type rig.
Footprint varies from approximately 2×3 to 9×14 m.
Height ranges from approximately 2.5 to 48 m.
Assembled weight varies from approximately 13 to 120 tons.
