Utrecht city office
Funderingstechnieken Verstraeten made the piles for the tallest city office in the Netherlands
Last year, Funderingstechnieken Verstraeten BV installed the piles for the City Office in Utrecht. The Utrecht Municipal Office covers 66,000 m2 and is one of the largest buildings to be built in the Netherlands from mid-2011. The municipal office will be the central point where the people of Utrecht can go for almost all municipal services and products. With a maximum height of 92 meters, it will soon be the highest and one of the largest city offices in the Netherlands.
The piles were installed on behalf of Bouwcombinatie SKU, a collaboration between VolkerWessels companies Boele & van Eesteren and G&S Bouw.
A total of:
- 296 pieces of Fundex piles with grout injection, 540/670 mm;
- 12 pieces of Tubex piles with grout injection with limited working height, 457/670 mm;
- 51 pieces of Tubex piles with grout injection, 720/950 mm
